How a rule can end

8 kinds of rule. The chip on every card below tells you which one it is before you read a word.

Ends the account

A hard limit. Touching it closes the account; the figures are published before you buy.

Warning

The first time is a warning on your ledger, the second closes the account (2 of 2).

Recoverable

The dashboard shows a card; while it is over its limit, payouts on that account are paused, and they open again by themselves once it is back inside.

Risk desk reviews

A person looks at the trades. Nothing is automatic; a clear case pauses the account while they look.

Payout waits

Not a breach: the payout request waits until the condition is met.

Objective

What you trade towards. There is nothing to break here.

Nothing to break

There is no time limit to break.

Pauses trading for the day

Trading stops for the rest of the day; not a breach.

Every rule on Edge 1 Step, with the figures for each account size. Pick a plan above; the pictures and the words stay the same, the figures follow the plan.

Targets and trading days

3 rules

Profit Target

The stage waits

The net profit that passes an evaluation stage. Edge 1 Step and Prime 1 Step have one target. Edge 2 Step and Prime 2 Step have one for Phase 1 and a smaller one for Phase 2, and Phase 2 starts again from the starting balance. There is no time limit: the stage passes once the target is reached with no positions open and the stage's profitable days done. Instant has no target: it is funded from day one.

Example On a $50K Edge 2 Step, Phase 1 passes when your closed balance reaches $53,750 ($3,750 profit) with at least 2 profitable days. Phase 2 then starts again at $50,000 and passes at $52,500.

The stage waits. Not reaching it is not a breach. You keep trading, with no deadline, until you reach it.

How you hear about it When you reach it: “Account (number) reached its profit target”, listing anything still missing (profitable days, open positions).

Min Profitable Days

The stage waits

Days that close at +0.5% of the account size or more (New York trading days, 17:00 to 17:00). Edge 1 Step needs 3 to pass and Edge 2 Step 2 in each phase, the same on Prime; once funded, the same number is needed again before each payout. Instant Go needs 5 before each payout, and Instant Pro has none.

Example On a $50K Edge 2 Step, a qualifying day closes at $250 or more; a day at $245 does not count. Reaching the Phase 1 target on your first day still leaves 1 more qualifying day before the phase passes.

The stage waits. Not a breach. The pass or the payout waits until the days are done.

Max Daily Loss

Ends the account

The most you may lose within one trading day, open losses included. It is measured from the day's opening balance, which is the previous day's closing balance at 17:00 New York.

Example On a $50K Edge 2 Step the limit is $2,250. If yesterday closed at $51,000, today's floor is $48,750. Equity touching $48,750 at any moment, even on an open trade, ends the account.

Ends the account. Reaching it is a hard breach: trading is switched off and the account ends.

Max Loss

Ends the account

The total loss the account may ever take, open losses included. It is static on every CFD plan: a fixed floor below the starting balance that never moves.

Example On a $50K Edge 1 Step the limit is $3,750, so the floor is $46,250 for the life of the account, however far the balance rises first.

Ends the account. Reaching it is a hard breach: trading is switched off and the account ends.

Max Loss Type

Ends the account

Static, on every CFD plan: the Max Loss floor is fixed below your starting balance and never moves, up or down.

Example A $50K Edge 2 Step with a $4,500 Max Loss keeps its floor at $45,500 even after the balance reaches $53,000.

Ends the account. It is how the Max Loss is measured; reaching the floor ends the account.

Max. Exposure

Warning

The combined notional value of every open position, as a share of the balance. Smaller accounts may run a larger share: $2.5K 5,000%, $5K 4,000%, $10K 3,000%, $25K 2,500%, $50K 2,000%, $100K 1,250%, $200K 1,000%. The dashboard's position calculator shows the most you can open without going over.

Example A $50K account at 2,000% may hold up to $1,000,000 of open positions: ten standard lots of EUR/USD (€1,000,000) is about the whole allowance.

Warning. Going over is warning 1 of 2, not a breach, and trading goes on. If the account is in profit at that moment, the profit is reset: the balance returns to the starting balance and the profit target counts from zero again; profitable days are kept. In loss, nothing is reset. A second warning on this rule closes the account.

Strikes

Warning

What a soft breach costs on Instant Pro and Instant Go: each Max Floating Loss per Symbol breach after the first is a strike, and each strike cuts the next payout cycle to a 10% split. Max. Exposure and Max Floating Loss per Trade are not strikes: their first breach is a warning that resets the profit of an account in profit, and the second closes the account.

Example A funded Instant Pro on a 75% split takes its second Max Floating Loss per Symbol breach: the next payout, on $2,000 of profit, pays $200 instead of $1,500. The cycle after that is back at 75%.

Warning. Not a breach: a strike changes the next payout or the reset, and the account stays open.

Max Floating Loss per Symbol

Warning

On Instant Pro and Instant Go, the combined open loss of every position on one symbol, measured against the starting balance (never the current balance). 1% sends a notice, the first 1.5% breach is a formal warning, and each one after that is a strike. Splitting one idea into several positions on the same symbol does not avoid it.

Example On a $50K Instant Pro, three XAUUSD positions floating a combined −$500 trigger the notice; −$750 is the breach.

Warning. A notice, then a formal warning, then a strike for each further breach. It never ends the account on its own.

News Trading

Reviewed by the risk desk

Yes, on every CFD plan and at every stage: there is no restricted window around a release. One practice is not allowed: straddling, which is opening positions in both directions (or offsetting, hedged positions) on the same or a correlated instrument within 15 minutes either side of a Red or Amber (high or medium impact) release, a company earnings release or major geopolitical news, to catch the spike whichever way it goes. A position taken on a genuine view of the market, before or after a release, is fine. The system detects straddles and shows them on your payout request; the risk desk decides.

Example US CPI is released at 08:30 New York. Buying EURUSD at 08:29 on your own view and closing at 08:40 for +$400 is fine, and the $400 is yours. Placing a buy and a sell on EURUSD at 08:28 to catch whichever way it jumps is straddling, and goes to the risk desk.

Reviewed by the risk desk. Nothing is measured or removed for news trading itself. Each straddle is detected and referred to the risk desk, never penalised automatically: a warning, the profit of the trades concerned removed, a payout held, or the account closed when it is repeated or deliberate.

Weekend Holding

Warning

With the Weekend Holding add-on, chosen when you buy the account, on every CFD plan. Without it, close your positions by 4:45 PM New York time on Friday: anything still open then is closed by the system at the market price, in the evaluation and once funded. The first time is a warning and the account trades on; the second time closes the account. Edge and Prime accounts bought before the add-on was introduced keep holding over the weekend, through every phase.

Example An Edge 2 Step bought with Weekend Holding keeps a EURUSD trade open over the weekend. On an account bought without it, the same trade is closed by the system at 4:45 PM New York time on Friday and the account gets its one warning; the next Friday it happens, the account is closed.

Warning. With the add-on: allowed. Without it: the positions are closed; the first time is a warning, the second closes the account.

The most the platform lets you open against your margin: 1:100 on Edge 1 Step and Edge 2 Step and Prime 2 Step, 1:33 on Instant Pro, 1:25 on Instant Go and 1:50 on Prime 1 Step. It is the same in the evaluation and once funded. It is a ceiling, not a target; Max. Exposure is what sizes your positions in practice.

Example At 1:100 a $50K Edge 2 Step can open up to $5,000,000 of notional on FX; at 1:33 a $50K Instant Pro up to $1,650,000.

Nothing to break. The platform will not open a position above it, so there is nothing to breach.

Commission

Nothing to break

A commission the platform charges on every trade, in USD. On Edge and Instant: Forex $5, metals $6, energies $6 per lot, round turn; indices and stocks free; crypto 0.06% of the trade value. On Prime: Forex $4, metals $5, energies $6 per lot, round turn; indices and stocks free; crypto 0.045% of the trade value. It is the same in the evaluation and once funded, and it is part of each trade's result, so it counts toward your profit target and your loss limits like any other cost.

Example One lot of XAUUSD opened and closed on an Edge 1 Step costs $6 in commission, and the same trade on Prime costs $5. Half a lot of EURUSD on Instant Pro costs $2.50. A trade on US30 costs nothing.

Nothing to break. A trading cost, not a rule: there is nothing to break.

Yes, on every CFD plan, as long as the expert advisor is genuinely yours: one you developed, own and control, can explain, and can show running. Pre-purchased, rented, subscription or mass-market “plug-and-play” bots are not allowed on any plan, however they trade. You stay responsible for every trade it places, and it may not be used for high-frequency trading or to exploit prices, latency or feed errors.

Example A trend-following EA you wrote that opens a few trades a day is fine. A bot bought from a marketplace and run as it came is not. An EA that scalps for a few seconds at a time runs into the HFT rule.

Reviewed by the risk desk. Your own EA is allowed, and the other rules still apply to its trades. An EA that is not yours goes to the risk desk: we may ask for the EA, its logic or a demonstration, and the profit of its trades can be removed, a payout held or the account closed. Repeated or deliberate use closes every account you hold.

Inactivity

Ends the account

30 days in a row without a closed trade ends the account, on every CFD plan and at every stage. An open position does not count; a trade must close. You are warned by email a few days before.

Example Your last trade closed on 1 March. Close another by 30 March and the account stays active.

Ends the account. After 30 days without a closed trade the account is closed.

Monthly Salary

Nothing to break

On a funded Prime account, 1% of the account size a month, accrued daily from the day the account is funded. A day already accrued stays yours even if the account is later lost. It is paid with your payouts, and it stops if the account is moved to a standard funded account (see Prime Downgrade).

Example A $50K Prime accrues $500 a month, about $16.67 a day.

Prime Consistency Rule

Reviewed by the risk desk

On a funded Prime account, each 7 days your trade count and your volume per instrument must stay within ±25% of your averages from the evaluation and your first 30 funded days. The other CFD plans have no consistency rule.

Example Averaging 10 trades a week with 10 lots on forex and 10 lots on metals, a week must land between 7 and 12 trades and 7.5 to 12.5 lots on each.

Reviewed by the risk desk. Breaking it moves the account to a standard funded account (see Prime Downgrade); it does not end the account.

Quarterly Profit Target

Reviewed by the risk desk

On a funded Prime account, every 90 days your payouts plus the account's profit must reach 5% of the starting balance. Missing it, or breaking the Prime Consistency Rule, moves the account to a standard funded account of the same size, without the salary or the 100% split. The account itself stays open.

Example A $50K Prime needs $2,500 a quarter: $2,000 already paid out plus $500 of profit on the account meets it.

Profit Split

Nothing to break

Your share of the profit on a funded account, rising as you scale: 80% up to 95% on Edge, 75% up to 90% on Instant Pro, 70% up to 85% on Instant Go, and on Prime 80% for the first 30 days funded, then 100%. Every 90-day scaling cycle you complete adds 5% to the split, up to the plan's ceiling. A cycle is complete when, over 90 days, you make 12% net profit on 1 Step (10% on 2 Step, 15% on Instant), close at least 50 trades, have 2 of 3 profitable months (all 3 on Instant), no single trade makes more than 7.5% of the profit (5% on Instant), and no rule warning is raised. Each cycle also grows the account by 30%. Prime's split does not rise with scaling. On Instant, each Max Floating Loss per Symbol strike cuts the next payout cycle to a 10% split.

Example With $4,000 of payable profit on Edge: $3,200 at 80%, $3,400 after one completed cycle (85%), and $3,800 at the 95% ceiling. Instant Pro starts at $3,000, Instant Go at $2,800, and Prime pays $4,000 after 30 days.

Payout Cycle

Payout waits

Your first payout can be requested on demand, as soon as the account qualifies: once funded (or after your first trade on Instant) with the plan's profitable days done. After that, one request every 7 days, or every 14 days on Instant Go.

Example Funded on a Monday with the profitable days done by Wednesday, you can request on Wednesday; the next request opens the following Wednesday.

Payout waits. A request before the cycle has run waits until it has.

Minimum Payout

Payout waits

It depends on the plan. Edge 2 Step and Prime 2 Step: no minimum. Edge 1 Step and Prime 1 Step: 1% of the starting balance, and never more than $100. Instant Pro and Instant Go: 1% of the starting balance. A payout to a crypto wallet must also be at least $100, the payment provider's minimum; a smaller amount can go by bank transfer or wait for a later request.

Example On a $50K Edge 1 Step the minimum is $100 (1% would be $500, but the cap applies). On a $50K Instant Pro it is $500. On a $5K Instant Go it is $50: fine by bank transfer, but a crypto payout needs at least $100.

Payout waits. A request under the minimum is refused until more profit is payable.

Weekly Payout Maximum

Payout waits

Yes: at most $2,000 can be paid out to you from one account in any 7 days. Profit above it stays on the account for your next payout.

Example $3,000 payable on an 80% split: $2,000 can be paid this week, and the rest the week after.

Payout waits. Not a breach: the request is capped at what the week still allows, and the rest waits for the next week.

Max Floating Loss per Trade

Warning

How far one open trade may run against you: 2% of the starting balance (1.5% on Instant). It is measured on the open trade, before it closes. It applies only once your account is funded: it is not checked during the evaluation, in either phase. Instant is funded from day one, so it applies there from the start.

Example On a $50K account one trade may float to −$1,000 (Instant −$750).

Warning. Going over is warning 1 of 2, not a breach, and trading goes on. If the account is in profit at that moment, the profit is reset: the balance returns to the starting balance and the profit target counts from zero again; profitable days are kept. In loss, nothing is reset. A second warning on this rule closes the account.

How you hear about it “Max Floating Loss per Trade” warning 1 of 2, saying whether the profit was reset.

HFT (scalping)

Recoverable

Yes, within a limit, and the limit applies only once your account is funded: it is not checked during the evaluation, in either phase. Instant is funded from day one, so it applies there from the start. On a funded account a trade held under 120 seconds counts as a scalp, and from 10 closed trades, scalps may carry at most 20% of your profit. There is no limit on how many of your trades are scalps.

Example On a funded account with $4,000 of profit, scalps that made $1,400 are 35%: over the 20% limit. Profit from longer trades brings the share back down.

Recoverable. Going over is recoverable, never a breach: while scalping profit is over 20%, payouts on that account are paused and no payout can be requested from it. Profit from longer trades brings the figure back down; once it is back inside the limit, payouts open again by themselves. Your other accounts are not affected.

How you hear about it “HFT (scalping)” warning, and a “payouts paused” email naming the reading the first time it goes over on a stage.

Profit Concentration

Recoverable

The share of your profit that came from your single best trade. From your first closed trade, while the account is in profit, the share may be at most 60%: there is no minimum number of trades. It applies on Instant Pro and Instant Go only, which are funded from day one; Edge and Prime accounts do not have it.

Example With $5,000 of profit, one trade making $3,200 is 64%: over 60%.

Recoverable. Going over 60% is recoverable, never a breach: while you are over, payouts on that account are paused and no payout can be requested from it. Profit from other trades brings the share back down; once it is back inside the limit, payouts open again by themselves. Your other accounts are not affected.

Not on Edge 1 Step, Edge 2 Step, Prime 1 Step, Prime 2 Step.

How you hear about it A “payouts paused” email naming the reading, the first time it goes over on a stage.

Liquidity Abuse

Recoverable

The share of your profit made by trades opened and closed inside the thin-liquidity window, 21:00:00 to 22:59:59 UTC, every night, on every instrument. At most 20% of your profit may come from that window. It applies on every CFD plan and at every stage, and it is measured only while the account is in profit.

Example With $4,000 of profit, trades opened and closed inside the window that made $1,000 are 25%: over 20%.

Recoverable. Going over is recoverable, never a breach: while you are over 20%, payouts on that account are paused and no payout can be requested from it. Profit made outside the window brings the share back down; once it is back inside the limit, payouts open again by themselves. Your other accounts are not affected.

How you hear about it A “payouts paused” email naming the reading, the first time it goes over on a stage; the card shows the share live.

What the risk desk reviews by hand on CFD accounts

These are not measured on a card. The risk desk reviews them, on every plan and at every stage, from the order history, the terminal addresses and the price feed. They can be checked at any time, without a warning beforehand. Futures accounts have their own list of prohibited strategies, under the Futures tab above.

High-frequency trading

Risk desk reviews

Bursts of orders or trades held for seconds, built on execution speed rather than a market view.

What counts Over 30 order requests in a minute; or 20 or more trades under 30 seconds that make up 60% or more of your trades.

Recovery over-sizing

Risk desk reviews

Sizing up right after a loss to win it back.

What counts A same-direction position of at least twice the losing size on the same instrument, straight after a realised loss, the same trading day.

News straddling

Risk desk reviews

Trading both ways around big news to catch the spike.

What counts Opposite or offsetting positions (including a buy stop and a sell stop) on the same or a correlated instrument within 15 minutes of a Red or Amber release.

Latency arbitrage

Risk desk reviews

Profiting from delayed or stale prices, not real market moves.

What counts 15 or more trades under 120 seconds won 85% of the time, entered at the best price of their minute.

Gap trading

Risk desk reviews

Positions built to catch the gap over a close.

What counts 3 or more profitable trades opened within 2 hours of a close and closed within 2 hours of the reopen.

Expert Advisors

Risk desk reviews

Bots are allowed only if you built and control them. Bought, rented or mass-market plug-and-play EAs are not allowed, however they trade.

What counts Your own EA only: the same EA identifier placing orders for 3 or more different traders is raised.

Trade copiers

Risk desk reviews

Copy only your own trading: between your accounts, or from a master account that is genuinely yours, including one at another broker.

What counts Your own trades only; no signal services, shared masters, account managers or challenge-passing services.

Coordinated trading

Risk desk reviews

Trading in sync with other people or groups.

What counts Another trader entering and exiting the same trades within seconds, repeatedly.

Hedging across accounts

Risk desk reviews

Opposite trades on different accounts to cancel out risk.

What counts Opposite positions on one instrument across accounts, opened together, repeatedly.

Account sharing

Risk desk reviews

Your logins are personal and must not be shared.

What counts Only you: a terminal connecting from another trader's address, or orders placed by a signal subscription.

VPN and remote desktop

Risk desk reviews

Trade from a stable connection that shows where you are.

What counts No masked connections: country hops and VPNs trigger an identity re-check.

Swap-free misuse

Risk desk reviews

Swap-free is for real trading, not for dodging overnight fees.

What counts Positions held across the daily rollover carrying half or more of the profit, over 3 or more trades.

Churning accounts

Risk desk reviews

Buying account after account and burning them fast.

What counts 3 accounts lost within 3 days of opening, inside 60 days.

What a review means

From the first match to the desk's answer, in order.

  1. 1A finding is raised

The system matches a pattern and stores the evidence: the trades, the orders, the addresses. You are not told which pattern, so it cannot be gamed.

  2. 2A clear case pauses the account

When the evidence is strong, trading is paused at once: open positions are closed, payout requests wait, and your dashboard shows that the account is under review. You get an email. A borderline reading goes to the desk without pausing anything.

  3. 3A person decides

The risk desk looks at the trades themselves, usually within 2 business days, and emails you the outcome.

  4. 4The outcome

    Three ways it ends, below.

Cleared

Trading and payouts are back on.

A warning

The trades are noted and you carry on.

Confirmed

The profit of those trades is removed, a payout is held, or the account is closed; repeated or deliberate behaviour closes every account named.
