1Introduction
This page explains where WhitePips does not offer its Services and why. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Access to and use of WhitePips is conditional on your not being a resident or national of, or located in, a restricted jurisdiction.
WhitePips provides skill-based trading evaluations on simulated accounts. To operate responsibly and to meet its legal, regulatory, and sanctions obligations, WhitePips restricts access from certain countries and territories.
2Restricted jurisdictions
WhitePips does not offer its Services to residents or nationals of, or persons located in, the following jurisdictions:
Iran, North Korea and the Palestinian Territories.
Restricted regions. The following regions are restricted in the same way: Crimea, Sevastopol, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson (territory of Ukraine); Abkhazia and South Ossetia (Georgia); the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus; Somaliland; Transnistria (Moldova); and Nagorno-Karabakh.
The restrictions apply to registration, purchases, identity verification, platform and dashboard access, payout requests and every other use of the Services. This list is maintained as the single source of truth across our website, sign-up process, and compliance systems, and may be added to, reduced or updated at any time without prior notice, for sanctions, payment-provider, regulatory, legal, fraud, risk or operational reasons.
All restricted countries and regions, A to Z. For convenience, the lists above together are:
- Abkhazia
- Crimea
- Donetsk
- Iran
- Kherson
- Luhansk
- Nagorno-Karabakh
- North Korea
- Northern Cyprus
- Palestinian Territories
- Sevastopol
- Somaliland

3Additional restrictions
In addition to the jurisdictions named above, WhitePips does not offer its Services in, or to persons connected with:
- any country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions administered by the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC);
- any country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions administered by the European Union;
- any country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions administered by the United Kingdom;
- any country or territory subject to sanctions administered by the United Nations;
- any jurisdiction identified by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) as a high-risk jurisdiction subject to a call for action; or
- any other jurisdiction where offering or using our Services would be contrary to applicable law or regulation.
We may also decline or restrict access on an individual basis where required by law or by our risk-based controls.
4Sanctions
Designated persons. WhitePips does not provide the Services to, or make payments to, any person who is named on, or is owned 50% or more or controlled by one or more persons named on, a sanctions list maintained by OFAC (including the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List), the United Nations Security Council, the European Union or the United Kingdom, or who acts on behalf of such a person.
Sanctioned regions. Regions subject to comprehensive or territorial sanctions, including occupied or annexed regions, are restricted whether or not they are named in section 2 (Restricted jurisdictions).
Sectoral and other sanctions. WhitePips may also restrict the Services, or particular payment and payout methods, to comply with sectoral sanctions, export controls and similar measures that apply to it or to its banks and payment providers.
Sanctions change quickly. Sanctions can be introduced or changed with immediate effect. The restrictions that apply are those in force at the time, even if this page has not yet been updated.
5Why these restrictions exist
These restrictions exist to help us comply with international sanctions regimes and anti-money-laundering standards, to reduce the risk of financial crime, and to avoid offering Services where doing so would be unlawful or inappropriate. They protect both WhitePips and its customers.
6Who the restrictions cover
Residents. Anyone whose country of residence is a restricted jurisdiction, even if they are temporarily elsewhere.
Nationals. Anyone who is a national of a restricted jurisdiction, including anyone who also holds another nationality, unless WhitePips has confirmed in writing, after reviewing the applicable law, that the restriction does not apply to them.
People located there. Anyone who is physically in a restricted jurisdiction when they register, log in, trade, request a payout or otherwise use the Services, including while travelling.
Payments, payouts and wallets. A payment from, or a payout to, a bank account, card, payment account or crypto wallet held in, or operated from, a restricted jurisdiction is not accepted, and a payout may not be routed through a bank or provider in one.
Connected persons. Anyone acting for, or on behalf of, a person covered by this section.
7Your responsibility
By accessing or using WhitePips, you represent and warrant that you are not a resident or national of, and are not located in, a restricted jurisdiction, and that your use of the Services does not breach any law that applies to you. You are responsible for knowing the laws of your own jurisdiction.
Countries not on the list. A country not appearing on the list does not mean the Services are lawful there. You must check your own local law before using the Services.
Tell us about changes. You must tell us promptly at [email protected] if you move to, or plan to spend time in, a restricted jurisdiction, or if your nationality changes.
8Circumvention is prohibited
You must not attempt to access or use WhitePips from a restricted jurisdiction, or on behalf of a person in one, by any means. In particular, you must not use a VPN, proxy, false address, false identity documents, or any other method to conceal your true location or nationality. Circumvention is a serious breach of the Terms of Service.
Other methods. This includes using another person’s identity, Account, bank account, card or wallet; giving a residential or bank address you do not actually use; using a remote desktop or virtual server located elsewhere to hide where you are; and asking someone outside a restricted jurisdiction to trade or receive payouts for you.
Travelling. If you travel to a restricted jurisdiction, you must not log in, trade, or request a payout while you are there.
9Enforcement
We enforce these restrictions through our sign-up gate, identity verification, and ongoing compliance monitoring. Where we determine that an account has been opened or used from a restricted jurisdiction, or that these restrictions have been circumvented, we may suspend or terminate the account, void any simulated profits, and withhold any payout, in accordance with the Terms of Service, including its anti-money laundering and verification sections (the AML Policy and the KYC Policy).
Signals we use. Checks may include IP address and location signals, VPN and proxy detection, device and browser data, identity documents and proof of address, phone number country, the country of payment methods, bank accounts and wallets, and blockchain analytics.
Checks at any time. We may carry out these checks at registration, at purchase, during trading, before a Funded Account is issued, before any payout, and at any other time.
10Misrepresentation and its consequences
Void from the start. If you misrepresented your residence, nationality or location, or circumvented these restrictions, we may treat your Account and every Trading Account in it as void from the start.
What follows. In that case Fees are not refunded, except where the law requires; Simulated Profit is void; payouts not yet paid are withheld; payouts already paid must be repaid, as described in Terms of Service, section 17 (Consequences of a breach); and you may be refused future access.
Reporting. Where the law requires, we will report the matter to the competent authorities and may be required to freeze funds rather than return them.
11Screening and name matches
Name matches. Screening can produce a possible match with a sanctioned person who has a similar name. When that happens we may pause your Account or a payout and ask for information to rule out the match.
Information you provide. You agree to provide the information we reasonably request for this purpose. If you do not, or if we cannot rule out the match, we may keep the Account paused or close it.
What we can tell you. We may be unable to explain a screening decision where the law prohibits disclosure.
12If your country becomes restricted
Suspension. If a country or region that applies to you becomes restricted, or you move to one, we may suspend your Account and Trading Accounts from the date the restriction applies to you.
Accounts in an evaluation. For a Trading Account in an evaluation stage that has not been breached, we will refund the Fee paid for it where the law allows us to make the payment, as described in Terms of Service, section 18 (Suspension and termination).
Funded accounts. For a Funded Account in good standing, eligible Simulated Profit up to the date the restriction applied to you will be paid under the Payout Policy, but only where a payout is lawful, including under sanctions law, and can be made to a permitted bank account or wallet in your own name.
If payment is not lawful. Where sanctions or other law prohibit a refund or payout, we will hold or freeze the amount as the law requires, and are not liable for doing so.
No liability for changes. WhitePips is not liable for any loss resulting from a change to the list or to sanctions, beyond what this section provides.
13Changes to this list
The list of restricted jurisdictions may change as sanctions, laws, and our risk assessment evolve. We may update it at any time without prior notice. The version published on this page is the current version, and it is your responsibility to review it.
