1Introduction
These Trading Rules (“Rules”) set out the trading conditions, objectives, and prohibited behaviours that apply to every WhitePips evaluation and simulated funded account. They apply in addition to the Terms of Service and to the Plan Specification of each account, which together with the product-line parts of these Rules make up what earlier documents called the CFDs Challenge Terms, the Futures Challenge Terms, and the Instant Account Terms.
All WhitePips accounts operate on simulated capital in a demo trading environment. No real client funds are ever placed at market risk. References to “profit”, “loss”, “balance”, and “equity” describe simulated results used to measure trading skill.
Words used in these Rules. Terms defined in section 3 (Definitions) and in the Terms of Service have the same meaning here.
2How the rules fit together
The exact numeric thresholds for each product, such as profit targets, drawdown limits, and minimum trading requirements, are defined in the terms for the specific plan you purchase.
- CFDs evaluations are governed by the Plan Specification and section 18 (CFD evaluation plans), which together are the CFDs Challenge Terms.
- Futures evaluations are governed by the Plan Specification and section 20 (Futures plans), which together are the Futures Challenge Terms.
- Instant accounts are governed by the Plan Specification and section 19 (Instant accounts), which together are the Instant Account Terms.
Where a plan-specific term and these Rules differ, the plan-specific term controls for that account.
The Plan Specification at purchase governs. The figures that apply to your account are those in its Plan Specification when you bought it. The schedules in section 23 (Schedule 1: CFD and Instant plans) and section 24 (Schedule 2: Futures plans) are generated from the plan board published on the Website on 29 September 2026 and are included for reference; they do not change the Plan Specification of any account.
Conduct rules are current. The rules on conduct, prohibited behaviour, reviews and resets in these Rules apply in their current version to every account, as described in section 21 (Changes to these rules).
Plans at the date of these Rules. The plans on the Website on 29 September 2026 were:
| Plan | Product line | Structure | Trading Platform | Account sizes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Edge 1 Step | CFDs | One-phase evaluation | MetaTrader 5 | $2.5K to $200K |
| Edge 2 Step | CFDs | Two-phase evaluation | MetaTrader 5 | $2.5K to $200K |
| Instant Pro | Instant | Funded at purchase | MetaTrader 5 | $2.5K to $100K |
| Instant Go | Instant | Funded at purchase | MetaTrader 5 | $2.5K to $100K |
| Prime 1 Step | CFDs | One-phase evaluation | MetaTrader 5 | $50K to $200K |
| Prime 2 Step | CFDs | Two-phase evaluation | MetaTrader 5 | $50K to $200K |
| One Step | Futures | One-phase evaluation | Volumetrica (dxFeed data) | $25K to $150K |
| Instant | Futures | Funded at purchase | Volumetrica (dxFeed data) | $25K to $150K |
Plans retired on 29 September 2026. Accounts bought on plans retired on 29 September 2026 keep the terms they were sold with: the Plan Specification recorded at purchase and the plan-specific rules that applied to those plans when they were bought, including rules these Rules no longer describe. The rest of these Rules continues to apply to those accounts.
3Definitions
In these Rules:
- Account size or initial balance
- The simulated starting balance of a Trading Account or stage, such as $50,000 (shown as “$50K”).
- Balance
- The simulated account value from closed positions, after commissions and swaps.
- Equity
- The balance plus or minus the floating (unrealised) profit or loss on open positions.
- Trading Day
- A New York trading day, as recorded by WhitePips systems. For futures, the trading session that closes each weekday afternoon New York time; its close is the “end of day”.
- Profitable trading day
- A Trading Day closed with net realised profit of at least the threshold published for the plan: at the date of these Rules, +0.5% of the account size on the CFD and Instant plans and +0.25% of the starting balance on the futures plans.
- Profit target
- The net profit, measured from the initial balance of the stage, that clears an evaluation stage. It may be reached at any time and in any number of trades. Two-step plans have a Phase 1 and a Phase 2 profit target.
- Daily loss limit
- On CFD and Instant accounts (“Max Daily Loss”), the most that may be lost within one Trading Day, measured from that day’s opening balance, which is the previous day’s closing balance, including floating losses; it is a hard limit. On futures accounts (“Daily Loss Limit”), the most that may be lost within one session; on the futures plans at the date of these Rules it is a soft limit that stops trading for the rest of the day, as described in section 5.2 (Daily drawdown).
- Maximum drawdown
- The total loss allowance for the life of an account or stage. Breaching it is a hard breach.
- Static drawdown
- A maximum drawdown measured below the initial balance and fixed there. It never moves.
- Trailing drawdown
- A maximum drawdown measured below the highest equity the account has reached. It moves up as that high rises and never moves down.
- End-of-day (EOD) trailing drawdown
- A maximum drawdown recalculated at each session close against that session’s closing balance. It moves up only, does not follow intraday equity, and stops trailing once the floor reaches the initial balance, where it then stays.
- EOD drawdown
- A maximum drawdown measured against the balance at each session close, as published for the plan.
- Leverage
- The maximum ratio between position size and margin that the platform allows on a CFD or Instant account. It is a ceiling.
- Max position
- On futures accounts, the most contracts that may be open at the same moment, stated in mini contracts and the equivalent in micro contracts. Ten micros equal one mini.
- Maximum total exposure
- On CFD and Instant accounts (“Max. Exposure”), the most the combined notional value of all open positions may reach, as a share of the balance, published for each account size in the Plan Specification. Going over it is a strike, described in section 7 (Soft breaches and the strike system).
- Maximum floating loss per trade
- A limit on the floating loss of a single position, as shown in the dashboard for the plan.
- Consistency rule
- A rule that limits how much of an account’s profit may come from a single Trading Day, described in section 9 (Trade consistency rule).
- Minimum trading days
- The number of trading days, or of profitable trading days (as defined above), required before a stage passes or a payout may be requested.
- News trading
- Opening or closing a position, or having an order filled, within the restricted window around a scheduled high-impact economic release, described in section 11 (News trading).
- Weekend holding
- Keeping a position open through the weekly market close.
- Overnight holding
- Keeping a position open through the daily rollover.
- Expert advisor (EA)
- An automated strategy on MetaTrader 5, and more generally any bot, script or algorithm that places or manages orders.
- Trade copier
- Software that mirrors trades from one account to another.
- High-frequency trading
- Trading that places very large numbers of orders or holds positions for very short periods in order to profit from execution speed rather than from price movement. For the purposes of this rule, a scalp is a trade held under 120 seconds on a CFD account and under 30 seconds on a futures account.
- Buffer balance
- A balance, above the initial balance, that a futures account must reach before payouts open.
- Payout cap, payout eligibility and payout profit goal
- The most that may be paid in one payout; the minimum profit before a payout may be requested; and the profit that must be reached before a particular payout, each as published for the plan.
- Hard breach
- A breach that ends the account stage immediately, described in section 6 (Hard breaches).
- Soft breach, warning and strike
- Conduct that is recorded against the account without ending it immediately, described in section 7 (Soft breaches and the strike system) and section 8 (Challenge reset and warning rule logic).
- Maximum Allocation
- The limit on the combined account size one person may hold, described in Terms of Service, section 13 (Evaluation programs and funded accounts).
4Objectives
To progress through an evaluation and to keep a simulated funded account in good standing, a trader must:
- reach the profit target for the account stage, where one applies;
- stay within the maximum drawdown limit at all times;
- stay within the daily drawdown limit on every trading day;
- complete the minimum number of profitable trading days required for the plan; and
- trade in a manner consistent with these Rules throughout the account lifecycle.
No time limit. At the date of these Rules no plan has a time limit: maximum trading days are unlimited on every CFD evaluation and indefinite once funded, and the futures plans publish no time limit. A Plan Specification that states a time limit controls for that account.
5Drawdown limits
Drawdown protection is the core risk control on every account.
5.2Daily drawdown
The daily loss limit caps the loss permitted within a single trading day. On CFD and Instant accounts it is the Max Daily Loss, measured from the day’s opening balance, which is the previous day’s closing balance. Breaching it is a hard breach and ends the account stage.
Futures. On futures accounts the daily loss limit applies per session rather than per Trading Day. On the futures plans at the date of these Rules it is a soft limit: reaching it stops trading for the rest of the day and the account stays open; it is not a breach. Where no daily loss limit is published, as on One Step at $25K, none applies. The Maximum Loss Limit applies in every case.
5.3Maximum drawdown
The maximum drawdown limit caps the total loss permitted over the life of the account. Depending on the plan, it is measured from the initial balance or trails the account’s highest recorded equity. Breaching the maximum limit is a hard breach and ends the account.
Drawdown is monitored on floating (open) equity as well as closed balance. An open position that pushes equity through a limit constitutes a breach.
Which type applies. Each Plan Specification states whether its maximum drawdown is static, trailing, end-of-day trailing or end-of-day, as defined in section 3 (Definitions). On end-of-day plans, the floor is set from session-closing balances, and a breach occurs when equity falls through the floor at any time during the session.
Two-step plans. On two-step plans, the balance and drawdown are reset to the Phase 2 figures when Phase 2 begins.
6Hard breaches
A hard breach immediately ends the affected account stage. Hard breaches include:
- exceeding the Max Daily Loss on a CFD or Instant account (the futures Daily Loss Limit is a soft limit, as described in section 5.2 (Daily drawdown));
- exceeding the maximum drawdown limit;
- any other plan-specific hard breach published in the Plan Specification; and
- trading activity that the Company reasonably determines was designed to exploit simulated pricing, latency, or feed errors.
Hard breaches are final. Simulated profits recorded on a hard-breached account are void and carry no entitlement to any payout.
Positions after a hard breach. When a hard breach occurs, open positions may be closed automatically and trading on the account is disabled.
7Soft breaches and the strike system
Certain conduct does not immediately end an account but is recorded as a strike. Soft breaches include, among others: holding positions in breach of the account’s weekend or overnight holding conditions, where those conditions apply; on Instant Pro and Instant Go, each Max Floating Loss per Symbol breach after the first; martingale-style position scaling; trading news where the Plan Specification does not permit it; and opening token positions solely to register a trading day. Max. Exposure and Maximum Floating Loss per Trade are warning-based rules under section 8.1, not strikes.
Accounts operate on a five-strike system. Reaching the strike ceiling results in closure of the account.
Strikes on Instant accounts. On Instant Pro and Instant Go, each Max Floating Loss per Symbol breach after the first is a strike, as described in section 19 (Instant accounts): the next payout cycle is paid at a 10% split. Repeated soft breaches may also reduce an eligible payout in accordance with the Payout Policy. Traders may appeal strikes through the process described in the Terms of Service, section 30 (Complaints).
8Challenge reset and warning rule logic
8.1Warning-based rules
Certain rules issue a formal warning rather than breaching the account immediately. Warning-based rules include Max. Exposure, Maximum Floating Loss per Trade, High-Frequency Trading, Overnight Holding and Weekend Holding.
Each warning-based rule permits a maximum of two warnings. Warning counts are tracked separately for each rule, and reaching the maximum on any single rule breaches the account irrespective of the account’s standing on any other rule.
First warning (1 of 2). On Max. Exposure and Maximum Floating Loss per Trade, the first warning is a warning and trading continues. If the account is in profit at that moment, its profit is reset: the balance is returned to the starting balance, so the profit target, or the payout cycle’s profit, counts from zero again. Profitable trading days already earned are kept. An account that is not in profit is warned and nothing is reset. On High-Frequency Trading, trading on the account is suspended immediately and the trader may not resume trading until a Challenge Reset is completed; declining the reset leaves trading suspended.
Second warning (2 of 2). The account is breached immediately and trading is permanently disabled. No Challenge Reset is available.
How the High-Frequency Trading rule is measured. On a CFD account, the rule applies only once the account is funded and is not measured during a challenge. A trade held under 120 seconds counts as a scalp. The rule begins to apply once the funded account has at least ten closed trades, and while more than 20% of total profit comes from scalps, no payout may be requested from that account until profit from longer trades brings the share back within the limit, as described under Recoverable rules below; this is not a breach, and there is no limit on the share of trades that are scalps. On a futures account (Microscalping), a trade held under 30 seconds counts, at every stage; at most 50% of total profit may come from such trades, and until it is back within that limit the evaluation does not pass and a payout cannot be requested; there is no limit on the share of trades. Each measure falls back within its limit as longer trades are added, and the rule clears when it does.
Holding rules apply only where holding is restricted. The Overnight Holding and Weekend Holding rules apply only where the Plan Specification does not permit holding overnight or over the weekend, as described in section 12 (Weekend and overnight holding). On a CFD account without the Weekend Holding add-on, Weekend Holding works as described in section 12.1: positions still open at the weekend deadline are closed by the system, the first time is a warning and the second time closes the account. A first Weekend Holding warning does not suspend trading, does not require a Challenge Reset and does not reset profit.
Recoverable rules. On a CFD account, three rules are measured on where the profit comes from and never breach the account: High-Frequency Trading as described in 8.1.5; Profit Concentration (Single Trade), where the single most profitable closed trade may make at most 60% of the account’s total profit, measured from the first closed trade while the account is in profit; and Liquidity Abuse, where trades opened and closed inside the thin-liquidity window of 21:00:00 to 22:59:59 UTC may make at most 20% of the account’s total profit. While any of them is over its limit, payouts on that account are suspended and no payout may be requested from it. The suspension applies to that account alone; your other accounts are not affected. It lifts automatically, without any action by us, as soon as every one of these rules is back within its limit, which profit from other trades achieves; the account is never breached or closed for it. Each is shown live on the dashboard. The futures line has none of these three: its equivalent limits are the Consistency Rule and Microscalping, as described in sections 9 and 8.1.5.
8.2Challenge reset
A Challenge Reset is available on Challenge accounts only; a free trial account has no Challenge Reset. A Challenge Reset requested by the trader is a paid service that replaces the Account with a new Account of the same Plan, size and risk option. Its price is the then-current price of that Plan at the Account’s size less a reset discount of 20%, or less a larger discount where the trader enters a discount code worth more than 20%, plus the checkout’s processing fee, payable before the reset is performed and not refundable once it is. A Challenge Reset that is required following a first warning under section 8.2.2 is at no charge and resets the trader’s progress and nothing else.
A Challenge Reset may be performed:
- where required, following a first warning as set out above; or
- voluntarily, at any time, in profit or in loss, provided the account has not been breached and has no open positions. A reset that is required following a first warning is not subject to the open-position condition.
On a Challenge Reset, all open positions are closed automatically, the account balance returns to its original starting balance, profit and loss resets to $0, and profit target progress, drawdown progress, trading statistics and challenge progress all reset. The challenge restarts from day one. The trader voluntarily forfeits all current profits. On a Challenge Reset requested by the trader, the new Account begins with no warnings and no rule history, and the Account it replaces is closed.
A Challenge Reset required following a first warning does not remove that warning. It carries over to the reset Account, and a further warning for that rule breaches the Account immediately. No Challenge Reset removes compliance history, identity-verification records, payment history or administrative records, which remain with the trader’s profile.
8.3Funded reset
A Funded Reset is a paid option available on funded accounts only. It is not available on Challenge accounts. On the futures evaluation plans, an evaluation that has been breached may be restarted for the reset fee published for that plan and size in section 24 (Schedule 2: Futures plans).
A Funded Reset is available only where the account has not been permanently breached, has no open positions, the reset fee is paid, and the account’s current maximum drawdown usage remains below 10%. Once the account reaches or exceeds that threshold, the option is no longer available.
On a Funded Reset, all open positions are closed, the balance returns to the original funded balance (or the latest scaled balance where applicable), and profit and loss, trading statistics, payout progress, drawdown progress and trading progress all reset. Unlike a Challenge Reset, a Funded Reset also clears all warnings, strikes and user-facing rule violations, together with any trading restriction arising from them.
Internal records, including anti-money-laundering and identity-verification history, fraud and abuse investigations, payment history, previous reset purchases and administrative notes, are never deleted and remain available to the Company.
Reset fee. The fee for a Funded Reset is the one shown in the dashboard when you request it. It is not refundable once the reset has been applied.
9Trade consistency rule
9.1The Trade Consistency Rule
To reward genuine, repeatable trading skill, each account is subject to a Trade Consistency Rule. A single trade, or a cluster of trades on a single day, that produces a result far above the account’s own rolling average may be flagged for review, and the portion attributable to that outlier may be discounted when measuring qualifying performance.
Consistency is assessed relative to your own trading history on the account, using an adaptive band, rather than a fixed figure. The rule does not penalise ordinary variation in results; it targets outcomes that depend on a single disproportionate event.
9.2Published consistency percentages
Published figures control. Where a Plan Specification publishes a consistency figure as a percentage for a stage, that figure applies to that stage instead of the adaptive band in section 9.1 (The Trade Consistency Rule), under the rule in section 2 (How the rules fit together) that plan-specific terms control. Where it publishes “None” for a stage, no consistency percentage applies to that stage, but trading remains subject to review for Prohibited Conduct.
How a percentage is measured. A published consistency percentage limits the share of total net profit that may come from the best single Trading Day. It is met when the net profit of the best Trading Day, divided by the total net profit counted for the objective or payout, is no more than the percentage. For example, under a 40% rule, if the best day made $2,000, total counted net profit must be at least $5,000.
Effect. Not meeting a consistency percentage is not a breach. Until it is met, the profit target is treated as not reached, or the payout cannot be requested, and you may continue trading to meet it.
Rules that change with each payout. Where a plan publishes a different consistency percentage for the first, second and later payouts, the percentage for the payout being requested applies, measured on the profit counted for that payout.
Where percentages apply at the date of these Rules. No CFD or Instant plan publishes a consistency percentage; the Prime Consistency Rule in section 18.3 (When a CFD account is funded) is a separate rule. On futures, One Step publishes none during the evaluation and 40% once funded, and Instant applies 20% to every payout. The figures are in section 23 (Schedule 1: CFD and Instant plans) and section 24 (Schedule 2: Futures plans).
10Minimum trading requirements
Where a plan specifies a minimum number of trading days, a trading day is any New York trading day on which at least one position was closed. Where a plan specifies a minimum number of profitable trading days, a profitable trading day is a New York trading day that closes with net realised profit of at least the threshold published for the plan: at the date of these Rules, +0.5% of the account size on the CFD and Instant plans, and +0.25% of the starting balance on the futures plans (for example, $125 on a $50,000 futures account). This applies to every rule that counts profitable days. Those days must be genuine trading days on which qualifying activity occurred. Opening token positions solely to register a day does not satisfy the requirement and may be treated as a soft breach.
Falling short of the minimum number of trading days or profitable trading days affects progression and payout eligibility only. It does not close the account.
Inactivity. On the futures plans, fifteen days without trading activity deactivates the account. The CFD and Instant plans at the date of these Rules have no inactivity rule.
Instant accounts bought on plans retired on 29 September 2026 carry an additional and separate minimum trading activity requirement, set out in section 19 (Instant accounts). Instant Pro and Instant Go have no such requirement.
11News trading
News trading is permitted on every CFD plan. You may open, hold and close positions before, during and after economic releases on every CFD plan, in the evaluation and once funded. There is no restricted window around a release on a CFD account, and no profit is removed because a trade was placed around news.
News straddling is not permitted. On every CFD plan, you may not open straddled, offsetting or hedged exposure on the same or correlated instruments within 15 minutes before or after a scheduled Red or Amber (high or medium impact) economic event, a company earnings release, or a major geopolitical announcement, where the purpose is to capture the volatility of the event rather than to take a view on its outcome. Placing a buy and a sell (or a buy stop and a sell stop) on the same instrument, or opposite positions on correlated instruments such as EURUSD and USDCHF, so that whichever way the price jumps one side profits, is straddling. A single position, or positions in one direction, taken on your own view of the release is not.
How straddling is detected and reviewed. The system checks every closed trade against the economic calendar and records each release around which you held opposite exposure on the same or correlated instruments. Each finding is referred to Risk & Compliance and shown on any payout request you make. Straddling is never penalised automatically: the risk desk reviews the trades and may issue a warning, remove the profit of the trades concerned, hold a payout, or close the account where the practice is repeated or deliberate, as described in section 16.
Futures plans. On the futures plans news trading is permitted during the One Step evaluation. On a funded futures account (One Step funded and Instant) no trade may be opened or closed from two minutes before to two minutes after a high-impact release; a position opened before the window may be held through it. Profit from such a trade is removed and the loss stays. The first and second violations are warnings, and the third is referred for compliance review. A news trading violation never ends an account automatically. The releases are those marked as high impact in the economic calendar shown in the dashboard or notified to you.
Every other rule still applies. Trading around news remains subject to every other rule. Exploiting price spikes, gaps, delayed prices or feed errors around a release is prohibited on every plan, and erroneous prices during a release may be corrected as described in Terms of Service, section 19 (Trading Platforms, data feeds, outages and errors). The Plan Specification of your account controls.
Gap exploitation. Opening positions shortly before a scheduled release, a market close or a weekend with the main purpose of profiting from the resulting gap, particularly with positions sized far beyond your usual trading, or with opposite positions on different accounts, is prohibited on every plan.
12Weekend and overnight holding
CFD and Instant accounts. At the date of these Rules, overnight holding is permitted on every CFD and Instant plan. Weekend holding is a paid add-on on every CFD plan (Edge 1 Step, Edge 2 Step, Instant Pro, Instant Go, Prime 1 Step and Prime 2 Step), bought with the account. On an account without it, every position must be closed by 4:45 PM New York time on Friday (the weekend deadline, 15 minutes before the weekly market close). Positions still open at the deadline, or opened after it before the market reopens, are closed by the system at the prevailing price, during the evaluation and once funded. The first weekend this happens on an account is a formal warning: the positions are closed, the account stays open and trading continues. The second weekend it happens, the account is closed, as a hard breach. If the system cannot close a position, the risk desk closes it and the weekend counts in the same way. Weekend Holding warnings carry over to the next account on a phase pass or a Challenge Reset, as other warnings do. Edge and Prime accounts bought before the add-on was introduced keep weekend holding through every phase. Positions held through the daily rollover may be charged swaps, and positions held through a weekend are exposed to gaps when the market reopens; both count towards loss limits.
Swap-free option. Where a swap-free add-on is offered and bought for an account, swaps are not charged at the daily rollover on that account, as described at checkout. The add-on does not remove any other rule. Swap-free is for genuine trading: where positions opened before the daily rollover (17:00 New York) and closed after it produce a material proportion of an account’s profit, the account is referred to Risk & Compliance for review, and the desk may remove that profit or withdraw the add-on. On an account without it, positions held through the daily rollover are charged swaps at the rates set on the Trading Platform; this is a trading cost, not a breach.
Futures accounts. Holding conditions for futures accounts are those in the Plan Specification. Where the Plan Specification does not permit a position to be held through the session close or the weekend, a position still open at that time may be closed at the prevailing price, and the event is dealt with under the Overnight Holding or Weekend Holding rule in section 8.1 (Warning-based rules).
Contract expiry. Futures positions must be closed or rolled before the contract’s expiry or last trading day. A position still open then may be closed at the prevailing price.
13Automation, bots and trade copiers
Fully automated trading is not permitted unless the specific plan states otherwise. WhitePips operates automation-detection controls that examine order timing, sizing, and behavioural fingerprints. Where automation is detected, affected accounts may be placed under review, restricted, or terminated in accordance with the Plan Specification and these Rules.
Where it is permitted at the date of these Rules. Every CFD and Instant plan publishes expert advisors and trade copiers as permitted. Every futures plan publishes a trade copier as permitted, on the conditions below, but does not publish expert advisors as permitted, so automated trading is not permitted on futures accounts unless the Plan Specification states otherwise.
Conditions where automation is permitted. Where a plan permits expert advisors, you may run only an expert advisor that you genuinely developed, own and control: you must be able to explain what it does and why it trades, and to show it running. Pre-purchased, rented, subscription and mass-market “plug-and-play” expert advisors and bots, and any expert advisor whose strategy you do not control, are prohibited on every plan, however they trade. You remain fully responsible for every trade an expert advisor places, and it must not be used for high-frequency trading, to exploit latency, prices or feed errors, or to place the same trades as other customers using the same software. We may ask you to explain or provide an expert advisor’s logic or source files, or to demonstrate it on a short call; an expert advisor that cannot be shown to be yours is treated as not permitted.
Trade copiers. Where a plan permits a trade copier, it may be used only to copy your own trading: between Trading Accounts that you own and trade yourself, or from a master account that you genuinely own, trade and control, including one you hold with another broker or proprietary trading firm. Between WhitePips accounts, copies run only within the same product line: CFD accounts with CFD accounts, and futures accounts with futures accounts; the copy trading tool in the dashboard applies both conditions. Copying from or to another person’s account, from a signal service or signal provider, from a shared or group master account, through an account manager, or through a paid “passing” service is prohibited on every plan.
How these conditions are checked. WhitePips reads the order history, the terminal addresses and the price feed of every account. Orders placed by an expert advisor, by an MQL5 signal subscription or by a copier are visible to us, as is the same expert advisor or the same trades appearing on the accounts of different customers. A pattern that points to a bought expert advisor, a signal service or a third-party master is referred to the risk desk for manual review under section 16 (Prohibited-behaviour review); no account is closed by a detector alone. On review we may ask for the expert advisor, its logic or a demonstration, and for proof that you own and trade the master account. Where these conditions were not met, the profit of the trades concerned may be removed, a payout held and the account closed; repeated or deliberate use of a bought expert advisor or of someone else’s trades closes the account and every other account you hold.
14Position size, exposure and leverage
Leverage on CFD and Instant accounts. The maximum leverage for each plan is in its Plan Specification, and may be lower once an account is funded. It is a ceiling the platform enforces, not a target.
Max position on futures accounts. The max position is a limit on contracts open at the same moment, not on how many trades you place. Ten micro contracts equal one mini, so the two figures are one limit written twice. Orders that would take you above the limit may be rejected, and positions above it may be reduced.
Exposure and floating loss. On CFD and Instant accounts, the Max. Exposure for each account size is published in the Plan Specification, from 5,000% of the balance at $2,500 to 1,000% at $200,000, and going over it is a strike, as described in section 7 (Soft breaches and the strike system). Maximum floating loss per trade is a warning-based rule. The limits for your plan are shown in the dashboard. On a CFD account, maximum floating loss per trade applies only once the account is funded and is not measured during a challenge.
Sizing after losses. Materially increasing position size after a realised loss in order to recover it is prohibited, as described in section 15 (Prohibited trading behaviours).
15Prohibited trading behaviours
The following are prohibited on all accounts:
- trading that relies on latency, feed, or pricing errors, including latency arbitrage and reverse arbitrage;
- coordinated trading, group hedging, or opposite-direction hedging across multiple accounts to guarantee an outcome;
- copy trading or signal following that mirrors positions across accounts you do not personally own and trade, including signal services, shared master accounts, account managers and paid “passing” services;
- automated or algorithmic trading, including expert advisors and bots, except where a plan expressly permits it, and in every case any expert advisor or bot you did not genuinely develop, own and control, including pre-purchased and mass-market “plug-and-play” software;
- high-frequency trading patterns intended to exploit the simulated environment;
- grid and martingale strategies that scale exposure into losses beyond permitted limits;
- loss-recovery over-sizing, meaning materially increasing position size after a realised loss to recover it (on a CFD account: after a position, or a group of overlapping positions, on an instrument closes at a net loss with volume V, opening a new position or group on the same instrument in the same direction with a volume of at least twice V on the same trading day, which runs from 17:00 to 17:00 New York; partial closes do not reduce the volume opened; each occurrence is referred to a risk review and carries no automatic strike); and
- excessive concentration in a single direction or a single instrument beyond permitted exposure limits.
Also prohibited on all accounts. The following are also prohibited:
- hedging or arbitraging a WhitePips account against an account held with another proprietary trading firm, broker or exchange;
- letting anyone else trade your account, trading someone else’s account, or using account management or passing services;
- tick scalping against delayed data, and exploiting swap, rollover, commission or spread errors;
- news trading where the Plan Specification does not permit it, and gap exploitation as described in section 11 (News trading);
- using a VPN, proxy or other means to hide your location, as described in Terms of Service, section 15 (Prohibited conduct); and
- any other conduct listed in Terms of Service, section 15 (Prohibited conduct).
Futures accounts. Section 20.7 (Prohibited trading strategies on futures accounts) lists the strategies and behaviours prohibited on futures accounts and the consequence of each, in addition to this section.
16Prohibited-behaviour review
Where the Company identifies conduct that may breach these Rules, an account may be placed into a manual review state while the activity is examined. During review, certain account actions may be limited. The Company will act in good faith and, where a breach is confirmed, apply the outcome set out in the applicable terms. Where no breach is found, the account is released and continues normally.
What may be limited. During a review, progression to a new stage, payout requests and new purchases may be paused, and in serious cases trading may be suspended.
Outcomes. The outcomes available where a breach is confirmed are those in Terms of Service, section 17 (Consequences of a breach), including exclusion of affected trades, strikes, closure and recovery of payouts.
Futures accounts. On a futures account, section 20.7 states for each prohibited strategy whether it goes to manual review first, is met with immediate termination once confirmed, or starts an enhanced identity check.
17Account lifecycle
Accounts may be refreshed or reset in the circumstances described in the Plan Specification and these Rules. Passing an evaluation stage does not create any entitlement other than progression to the next stage or to a simulated funded account, as described in those terms. Simulated funding, scaling, and payouts are governed by the Payout Policy and the Plan Specification.
From evaluation to funded. When the last evaluation stage is passed, the account may be reviewed before the Funded Account is issued, as described in Terms of Service, section 13 (Evaluation programs and funded accounts). The Funded Account’s rules, including its leverage, news trading permission, consistency rule, payout cycle and profit split, apply from the moment it is issued.
Maximum Allocation. The combined account size of all accounts you hold, on every product line, may not exceed the Maximum Allocation.
Scaling. Scaling steps are requested from the dashboard and reviewed, as described in Payout Policy, section 15 (Scaling).
18CFD evaluation plans
18.1Plans and structure
The CFD line offers three programs, traded on MetaTrader 5: Edge (the Edge 1 Step and Edge 2 Step evaluation plans), Prime (the Prime 1 Step and Prime 2 Step evaluation plans) and Instant (Instant Pro and Instant Go, funded at purchase and described in section 19 (Instant accounts)). The account sizes and published rules for each are in section 23 (Schedule 1: CFD and Instant plans).
One-step plans. A one-step plan has a single profit target. When it is reached without a breach, the account may be funded.
Two-step plans. A two-step plan has a Phase 1 and a Phase 2 profit target. When Phase 1 is passed, Phase 2 begins with the balance and drawdown reset to the Phase 2 figures, and when Phase 2 is passed the account may be funded.
Differences between the plans. The CFD evaluation plans differ in their profit targets, Max Daily Loss, Max Loss, leverage, minimum profitable days and, on Prime, the funded-stage terms in section 18.3 (When a CFD account is funded). The Plan Specification of each account sets out which apply.
18.2Loss limits on CFD plans
Every CFD plan has a Max Daily Loss, measured from the day’s opening balance, which is the previous day’s closing balance, and a Max Loss, measured from the starting balance and static on every CFD plan at the date of these Rules. Both are measured on equity, including floating losses, and both are hard breaches. Every CFD plan also has a Max. Exposure, as described in section 14 (Position size, exposure and leverage).
18.3When a CFD account is funded
What changes. Once funded, evaluation strikes are cleared, the news and weekend conditions in section 11 (News trading) and section 12 (Weekend and overnight holding) apply, a strike affects the next payout as described in section 7 (Soft breaches and the strike system), trading days become indefinite, and the payout cycle, profit split, minimum profitable days before each payout and any other payout conditions in the Plan Specification apply. The leverage ceiling does not change on the plans at the date of these Rules.
Payout cycle. The first payout may be requested on demand once the account is funded, and later payouts every 7 days. Before each payout the account needs the profitable trading days published for its plan: three on Edge 1 Step and Prime 1 Step, two on Edge 2 Step and Prime 2 Step. The minimum payout is 1% of the account size. The plans at the date of these Rules offer no choice of payout option.
Profit split. The profit split on a funded Edge 1 Step or Edge 2 Step account starts at 80% and rises by 5 percentage points for each scaling cycle met, to a maximum of 95%, as described in Payout Policy, section 15 (Scaling). On Prime 1 Step and Prime 2 Step it is 80% for the first 30 days funded, then 100%, and does not rise with scaling, as described in Payout Policy, section 4 (Profit split). A strike reduces the next payout cycle to a 10% split.
Fee refund. On Prime 1 Step and Prime 2 Step, the Fee is refunded in full once the account is funded and in profit after 30 days. The Edge 1 Step and Edge 2 Step plans publish no fee refund. Where the Plan Specification of an account states that the Fee is refundable with the first payout, it is refunded as described in Refund Policy, section 10 (Fee refund with the first payout).
Prime salary. A funded Prime 1 Step or Prime 2 Step account earns a salary of 1% of the account size a month, accrued daily from the day it is funded.
Prime Consistency Rule and Quarterly Profit Target. On a funded Prime account, each 7 days the trade count and the volume per instrument must stay within ±25% of the averages from the evaluation and the first 30 funded days, and every 90 days payouts plus the account’s profit must reach 5% of the starting balance. Breaking either rule moves the account to a standard funded account of the same size, without the salary or the 100% split. It does not end the account.
18.4Instruments
CFD accounts may trade foreign exchange, stock indices, metals, energy and other commodities, and cryptocurrency CFDs. The exact symbol list, trading hours and contract settings are set on the platform and may change with market conditions. Instrument availability is not a term of any plan.
19Instant accounts
Funded at purchase. Instant accounts, sold as Instant Pro and Instant Go, are funded when purchased and have no evaluation. They trade on MetaTrader 5, at the account sizes in section 23 (Schedule 1: CFD and Instant plans).
Loss limits. Instant accounts have a Max Daily Loss (3.5% on Instant Pro, 3% on Instant Go), measured from the day’s opening balance, and a static Max Loss (7% on Instant Pro, 6% on Instant Go), both measured on equity including floating losses. Both are hard breaches.
Conduct. News trading is governed by section 11 (News trading). Unless the account holds the Weekend Holding add-on, positions still open at 4:45 PM New York time on Friday are closed by the system; the first time is a warning and the second time closes the account, as described in section 12 (Weekend and overnight holding). The open positions on one symbol may not together carry a floating loss of more than 1.5% of the starting balance (Max Floating Loss per Symbol): a floating loss of 1% sends a notice, the first breach of 1.5% is a formal warning, and each later breach is a strike. Each Max. Exposure breach is also a strike. Overnight holding, expert advisors and trade copiers are permitted at the date of these Rules, subject to section 13 (Automation, bots and trade copiers). The leverage ceiling is the one in the Plan Specification: 1:33 on Instant Pro and 1:25 on Instant Go.
Payouts. The profit split starts at 75% on Instant Pro and 70% on Instant Go and rises by 5 percentage points for each scaling cycle met, to a maximum of 90% on Instant Pro and 85% on Instant Go, as described in Payout Policy, section 15 (Scaling). The first payout may be requested after the account’s first trade, and later payouts every 7 days on Instant Pro and every 14 days on Instant Go. Instant Go needs five profitable trading days before each payout; Instant Pro has no profitable-day requirement. A strike reduces the next payout cycle to a 10% split. Payouts may be requested whenever the eligibility conditions in the Payout Policy are met. The Fee for an Instant account is not refunded with the first payout.
Minimum trading activity. Instant Pro and Instant Go have no minimum trading activity requirement. Instant accounts bought on plans retired on 29 September 2026 keep the requirement they were sold with: at least seven qualifying days, each closing with a net realised gain of at least 1% of the account size, within every thirty day activity cycle. Such an account whose cycle closes short of that count is breached, and a warning is sent when fewer than five days of a cycle remain and the count has not been met.
When the cycle starts. On an Instant account bought on a plan retired on 29 September 2026, the first thirty day activity cycle begins with the account’s first trade. Each later cycle begins when the previous one ends, or on the date of the last paid payout.
20Futures plans
20.1Plans and structure
The futures line offers the One Step and Instant plans, traded on Volumetrica with market data over a dxFeed connection. The account sizes and published rules for each are in section 24 (Schedule 2: Futures plans).
Evaluation plan. One Step has a single profit target, with no consistency rule and no minimum number of days during the evaluation. There is no Phase 2 on any futures plan.
Funded at purchase. Instant is funded when purchased and has no evaluation. In place of an evaluation it publishes a consistency percentage, a number of profitable trading days and a Profit Milestone for each payout.
No time limit. The futures plans publish no time limit.
Profit split. Every futures plan pays a 90/10 profit split: 90% to you.
20.2Drawdown on futures plans
One Step uses an end-of-day trailing Maximum Loss Limit: the floor is recalculated at each session close from the closing balance, moves up only, and stops trailing once the floor reaches the initial balance. Instant uses an intraday trailing Maximum Loss Limit: the floor follows the highest equity reached during the session, open profit included, and also stops trailing once the floor reaches the initial balance. A breach of the Maximum Loss Limit is a hard breach.
20.3Daily loss limits on futures plans
The daily loss limit on each futures plan and size is published in the Plan Specification. On One Step and Instant it is a soft limit: reaching it stops trading for the rest of the day, and the account stays open; it is not a breach. One Step publishes no daily loss limit at $25K, and where none is published none applies.
Priced daily loss limit option. The choice at purchase between a plan with or without a daily loss limit applied only to plans retired on 29 September 2026, where the choice made is part of the Plan Specification. One Step and Instant publish one daily loss limit for each account size, with no option.
News on a retired plan. The hard breach for a position open from one minute before to one minute after a high-impact USD release applied only to a futures plan retired on 29 September 2026, and continues to apply to accounts bought on it. On One Step and Instant, news trading is governed by section 11 (News trading).
Move to a live account. The move to a live account after five approved payouts applied to plans retired on 29 September 2026. One Step and Instant publish no such step.
20.4Position limits
Each futures plan and size publishes a max position, in minis and the equivalent micros, as described in section 14 (Position size, exposure and leverage). Exceeding it once is a warning; a second time puts the account under review.
20.5Consistency and payout conditions
The stage at which a consistency percentage applies differs between futures plans, as described in section 9.2 (Published consistency percentages).
Futures payouts are on demand once the conditions are met. On One Step the balance must stay above the Profit Buffer, which equals the Maximum Loss Limit, and a payout opens once the Profit Milestone, 1% of the starting balance above the Profit Buffer, is reached, with three profitable trading days and the 40% consistency rule met. On Instant a payout opens once the Profit Milestone of $1,450, $3,000, $5,000 or $8,000 on $25K, $50K, $100K or $150K is reached, again before every payout, with five profitable trading days and the 20% consistency rule met. The conditions are published in section 24 (Schedule 2: Futures plans) and applied under the Payout Policy.
20.6Sessions, expiry and instruments
Sessions. Futures trade in sessions of close to twenty-three hours, from Sunday evening to Friday afternoon New York time, with a short daily maintenance break. Exchange holidays and early closes apply.
Expiry and roll. Futures contracts expire. Liquidity concentrates in the front month, and positions must be closed or rolled before expiry, as described in section 12 (Weekend and overnight holding).
Instruments. Futures accounts may trade CME Group contracts in mini and micro sizes, such as equity index, energy, metals, currency and agricultural contracts. Tick sizes and tick values are set by the exchange. The exact symbol list is set on the platform.
20.7Prohibited trading strategies on futures accounts
The table below lists the trading strategies and behaviours that are not allowed on futures accounts, and the consequence that applies to each. It applies in addition to section 15 (Prohibited trading behaviours); where the two differ for a futures account, this section applies.
| Strategy or behaviour | Description | Consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Hedging Across Accounts and Platforms | Placing opposing positions across multiple accounts, whether personally owned, held by another trader, or held at another proprietary trading firm, with the intent to offset or negate market risk. | Goes to manual review by the WhitePips risk desk first. This can result in a warning, profit removal, payout denial, account suspension, evaluation failure, funded account termination, or a permanent platform ban. |
| Latency Arbitrage and Feed Error Exploitation | Exploiting delays in price updates between systems or data feeds to trade ahead of a price that has already moved in the real market, or knowingly profiting from mispriced quotes, feed errors or data discrepancies, whether or not the fill is later corrected. | Immediate account termination. All profits generated through such activity are forfeited and any pending payout is rejected. |
| Spread and Exchange Arbitrage | Exploiting price differences for the same asset across different exchanges or platforms by buying on one and selling on another at the same time, to lock in a risk-free outcome without genuine market exposure. | Immediate account termination. All profits generated through such activity are forfeited and any pending payout is rejected. |
| Account Sharing and Trading on Behalf of Others | Allowing another person to access or operate your account, or operating another trader’s account, for any reason and in any circumstance. | Immediate termination of all accounts held by both parties. All profits and pending payouts are forfeited, without appeal. |
| Device Sharing Between Traders | Two or more traders accessing their own accounts from the same physical device, whether a computer, tablet or mobile phone. | Immediate termination of all accounts held by both parties. All profits and pending payouts are forfeited, without appeal. |
| IP Address Changes and Suspicious Location Activity | Frequent or unexplained IP address changes, use of a VPN or proxy, or access from several unrecognised locations that raises identity or security concerns. | Enhanced KYC verification starts at once. The account is placed under review, and trading may be restricted until your identity is confirmed to the satisfaction of the compliance team. |
| Coordinated and Group Trading | Coordinating entries, exits or direction with any other person across separate accounts, whether through shared signals, private communication, shared environments or any form of linked execution. | Goes to manual review by the WhitePips risk desk first. This can result in a warning, profit removal, payout denial, account suspension, evaluation failure, funded account termination, or a permanent platform ban. |
| Copying Another Trader’s Positions | Replicating another trader’s positions by hand or through copy trading services, mirror tools or external automation that takes its signals from another WhitePips account. | Goes to manual review by the WhitePips risk desk first. This can result in a warning, profit removal, payout denial, account suspension, evaluation failure, funded account termination, or a permanent platform ban. |
| Market Manipulation and Deception | Spoofing, layering, price manipulation, fraudulent order entry, or any conduct designed to distort market prices, create a false impression of supply and demand, or deceive other market participants. | Immediate account termination. All profits and pending payouts are forfeited. Serious manipulation may be reported to the relevant regulatory bodies. |
| Order Queue Manipulation | Placing several identical limit orders at the same price to inflate queue priority or secure preferential execution, then cancelling the excess orders once a fill is obtained. | Goes to manual review by the WhitePips risk desk first. This can result in a warning, profit removal, payout denial, account suspension, evaluation failure, funded account termination, or a permanent platform ban. |
| Volume Inflation | An abnormally high number of trades, or oversized positions, during periods of negligible price movement, mainly to manufacture paper profit rather than to express a genuine market view. | Goes to manual review by the WhitePips risk desk first. This can result in a warning, profit removal, payout denial, account suspension, evaluation failure, funded account termination, or a permanent platform ban. |
| Artificial Trades to Satisfy Requirements | Token, undersized or otherwise meaningless trades placed only to register a trading day or meet a minimum-day requirement, without genuine market participation or intent. | Goes to manual review by the WhitePips risk desk first. This can result in a warning, profit removal, payout denial, account suspension, evaluation failure, funded account termination, or a permanent platform ban. |
| High-Frequency and Algorithmic Exploitation | High-frequency trading systems, tick scalpers, bulk order automation or any algorithmic tool designed to exploit execution speed, platform inefficiencies or simulated fill conditions, rather than to express a genuine directional view. | Immediate account termination. All profits and pending payouts are forfeited. |
| Non-Viable Strategies | Any strategy that depends on guaranteed fills at the bid or ask, zero slippage, or any other execution condition that does not and cannot exist in a live futures market. | Goes to manual review by the WhitePips risk desk first. This can result in a warning, profit removal, payout denial, account suspension, evaluation failure, funded account termination, or a permanent platform ban. |
| Gambling Behaviour and Account Rolling | Oversized positions without a clear risk rationale, all-or-nothing trades designed to breach or profit in a single session, or buying evaluation after evaluation with aggressive exposure in the expectation that one will eventually pay out. | Goes to manual review by the WhitePips risk desk first. This can result in a warning, profit removal, payout denial, account suspension, evaluation failure, funded account termination, or a permanent platform ban. |
| News Straddling Around Tier 1 Data Releases | Entering a straddle in the seconds around a scheduled Tier 1 economic release, such as Non-Farm Payrolls, FOMC rate decisions or CPI. | Goes to manual review by the WhitePips risk desk first. This can result in a warning, profit removal, payout denial, account suspension, evaluation failure, funded account termination, or a permanent platform ban. |
| Gap and Illiquid Market Trading | Opening positions specifically to capture gaps from market closures, weekend reopenings, or abnormally wide spreads during off-hours, where the fills obtained would not be available in normal market liquidity. | Goes to manual review by the WhitePips risk desk first. This can result in a warning, profit removal, payout denial, account suspension, evaluation failure, funded account termination, or a permanent platform ban. |
Manual review first. Where the consequence is a manual review, the WhitePips risk desk examines the trades and the account’s records under section 16 (Prohibited-behaviour review) before any outcome is applied, and chooses the outcome from those listed according to what it finds.
Immediate termination. Where the consequence is immediate termination, no warning is given first. Once the risk desk has confirmed the strategy from the account’s records, the account is closed, the profits stated are forfeited and any pending payout is rejected; for account sharing and device sharing, every account held by both traders is closed. No account is closed by an automated detector alone.
Hedging within one account. Hedging within a single futures account as part of a normal trading strategy is permitted. You may hold a long and a short position on the same contract in one account where one position is in mini contracts and the other in micro contracts, and you may hold long and short positions on two different contracts in one account. Hedging across separate accounts is prohibited: you may not hold opposing positions on the same contract, in mini or micro contracts, or on different but correlated contracts, across separate accounts, whether they are your own accounts or held in coordination with other traders.
Martingale. Martingale strategies, whether by increasing size on a new trade after a realised loss or by adding to a position while it is running at a loss, are permitted on futures accounts when used responsibly and within the account’s Maximum Position Size, Daily Loss Limit and Maximum Loss Limit, and items (f) and (g) of section 15.1 do not apply to futures accounts. Martingale does not exempt any other rule. Aggressive sequences that create excessive exposure, or that resemble reckless risk management or gambling rather than disciplined trading, may be reviewed under Gambling Behaviour and Account Rolling in the table above.
21Changes to these rules
WhitePips may update these Rules from time to time to reflect operational, security, or compliance requirements. Material changes will be published on the WhitePips website, and the current version always governs live accounts. It is your responsibility to review the Rules that apply to your account.
Figures fixed at purchase. An update does not change the figures in the Plan Specification of an account already bought, such as its profit target, loss limits, drawdown type, leverage, max position, profit split or payout cycle, except where the Terms of Service allow.

23Schedule 1: CFD and Instant plans
Generated from the plan board published on the Website on 29 September 2026. Where a rule is a share of the account, the money range runs from the smallest to the largest account size. A dash means the board publishes no value for that stage. The Plan Specification recorded at purchase governs your account.
