A futures evaluation with no consistency rule: how One Step works

The futures One Step evaluation at WhitePips has no consistency rule and no minimum number of days, so it can be passed in a single day. Here is exactly where a consistency rule starts, and how to plan the funded stage around it.

The short answer

On the WhitePips futures line, the One Step evaluation has no consistency rule. It also has no minimum number of trading days and no time limit, so the profit target can be reached in a single day. A consistency rule only starts once you are funded: 40% on the One Step funded account, and 20% on Instant, which is funded from day one.

This article explains what that means in practice. For the rule itself, with worked examples on every plan, read The consistency rule explained.

What a consistency rule measures

On futures, the consistency rule compares your best trading day with the total net profit of the current payout cycle. If the best day's share is at or below the published percentage, the rule is met:

  • best day ÷ total net profit of the cycle ≤ the percentage

It is checked when you request a payout, and it starts again after each payout. Not meeting it is not a breach: the payout simply waits while you keep trading, and the account stays open.

Where each futures plan stands

  • One Step evaluation: no consistency rule, no minimum days, no time limit. One profit target: $1,200 on $25K, $3,000 on $50K, $6,000 on $100K and $9,000 on $150K.
  • One Step funded: a 40% consistency rule on every payout.
  • Instant: funded at purchase, with a 20% consistency rule on every payout, the first included.

The one rule about time on both plans is inactivity: 15 days without trading deactivates a futures account.

What "no consistency rule" does and does not mean

It means a single strong session can pass the evaluation. If the $50K One Step target of $3,000 is reached in one day without breaching the Maximum Loss Limit or the Daily Loss Limit, the evaluation passes. There is no second phase on any futures plan, and no activation fee when you pass.

It does not mean the evaluation has no rules. The ones that still apply:

  • Maximum Loss Limit: $1,000 on $25K, $2,000 on $50K, $3,000 on $100K, $4,500 on $150K. It trails your highest end-of-day balance, moves up only, and locks at the starting balance. Reaching it ends the account.
  • Daily Loss Limit: none on $25K; $1,250 on $50K, $2,000 on $100K and $3,000 on $150K. It is a soft limit: trading stops for the rest of the day and the account stays open.
  • Maximum Position Size: 2 minis or 20 micros on $25K, 4 / 40 on $50K, 6 / 60 on $100K, 10 / 100 on $150K. Going over once is a warning; a second time puts the account under review.
  • Microscalping: allowed, but at most 50% of your profit may come from trades held under 30 seconds. Until you are back under it, the evaluation cannot pass.
  • No overnight: anything still open at 3:55 PM CT is closed by the system, every session and before the weekend.

Planning for the funded stage

Passing in one big day is allowed, but the funded account then works differently, and it helps to trade the evaluation in the way you mean to trade once funded.

On the One Step funded account, a payout needs all of these at once, with every position closed:

  • 3 profitable trading days of +0.25% of the starting balance or more ($62.50 / $125 / $250 / $375 on $25K / $50K / $100K / $150K);
  • a balance above the Profit Buffer, which equals the Maximum Loss Limit and is never paid out, plus the Minimum Profit Goal of 1% of the starting balance on top;
  • the 40% consistency rule.

A worked example on a $50K One Step funded account: the cycle has made $2,600 and the best day made $1,300. That is 50%, over the 40% limit. $1,300 ÷ 0.40 = $3,250, so the payout opens once the cycle's profit reaches $3,250, provided no new day beats $1,300 and the other conditions are met. The account stays open the whole time.

On Instant, the 20% rule is tighter, and it works alongside the Payout Milestone: $1,450 / $3,000 / $5,000 / $8,000 of profit before every payout on $25K / $50K / $100K / $150K, plus 5 profitable days. On a $50K Instant at exactly $3,000 of profit, the best day may be at most $600.

Which plan suits which trader

  • One Step suits a trader who wants the lowest fee ($81 to $239) and an evaluation with no consistency rule and no minimum days, and is comfortable with the 40% rule once funded.
  • Instant suits a trader who wants to start funded ($175 to $625) and already trades with steady daily size, because the 20% rule and the Payout Milestone apply to every payout.

Both pay 90% of the payable profit, on demand once the payout conditions are met. Every request gets an automatic receipt confirming it has been received, and it is paid by the method on file for your account.
