**What is a prop firm, and how does WhitePips work?**

A proprietary trading firm backs traders with its own capital instead of asking them to risk their own. At WhitePips you buy a one time evaluation, trade a simulated account to a published profit target without breaching its loss limits, and are then funded — after which you keep the large majority of the profit you make. Every account is simulated on a demo environment: the payouts are real money, but no capital of yours is ever at market risk.

**What is the difference between One Step and Instant?**

One Step is an evaluation: reach the profit target inside an end of day trailing Maximum Loss Limit and you are funded, for a lower one-time fee. Instant funds you the moment you buy, with an intraday trailing Max Loss, a 20% consistency rule and a Payout Milestone before every payout. Both pay 90%, on demand.

**90%** Both plans, on demand **EOD trailing** One Step Max Loss **Intraday** Instant Max Loss **20%** Instant consistency rule

**Which futures plan should I choose?**

Two. One Step is a single evaluation with no consistency rule and no minimum days, so it can be passed in one day. Instant skips the evaluation entirely. Both pay 90% on demand once the payout conditions are met.

**90%** Both plans pay **No minimum days** One Step **Day one** Instant is funded at purchase

**Is there a time limit?**

No. The futures evaluation publishes its time limit as None. The one limit on time is Inactivity: 15 days without trading deactivates the account. How the evaluation runs, from the 3:55 PM CT close to the end of day trailing Max Loss: [Futures prop firm evaluation explained](https://whitepips.com/blog/the-futures-evaluation-explained) . Time Limit: the figure on each plan

**None** Time limit **15 days** Inactivity deactivates the account

**How long does a futures evaluation take?**

As long as you need. The One Step evaluation has no time limit, no minimum number of trading days and no consistency rule, so it passes as soon as the profit target is reached without breaching the Maximum Loss Limit, which can be in a single day. The one limit on time is Inactivity: 15 days without trading deactivates the account. Instant has no evaluation: it is funded at purchase. [Futures prop firm evaluation explained](https://whitepips.com/blog/the-futures-evaluation-explained)

**None** Time limit **None** Minimum trading days **15 days** Inactivity deactivates the account

**Can I use an expert advisor on futures?**

No. Every futures plan publishes a trade copier as permitted, but not expert advisors, so automated trading is not permitted on futures accounts ([Trading Rules](https://whitepips.com/legal/trading-rules) , section 13.2). You may copy your own trading: between WhitePips futures accounts that you own and trade yourself, or from a futures master account that is genuinely yours. An expert advisor you genuinely developed and control is allowed on the CFD plans.

**No** Expert advisors on futures **Yes** Copying your own futures accounts

**How much can I get funded for?**

On the CFD line, account sizes run from $2.5K to $200K. The futures line runs from $25K to $150K. One trader may hold up to $1.5M across all accounts. Buy more than one and the bundle discount applies to the whole basket: up to 25% off, with up to five accounts in one order.

**$25K – $150K** Futures sizes **$2.5K – $200K** CFD account sizes **$1.5M** Per trader, all accounts **25% off** Up to five accounts in one order

**Can I buy more than one account?**

Yes, up to five in one order, and the bundle discount applies to the whole order rather than to the extra accounts only: 10% off at two, 15% at three, 20% at four and 25% at five, the most one order can hold. One trader may hold up to $1.5M across all accounts.

**10%** Two accounts **15%** Three **20%** Four **25%** Five, the most in one order

**Can I hold futures and CFD accounts at the same time?**

Yes. The two lines are separate products with separate rules. The $1.5M allocation ceiling is what applies across everything a single trader holds, on both lines together. One difference to plan for: futures positions are closed at 3:55 PM CT every session, while CFD positions can stay open overnight, and over the weekend with the Weekend Holding add-on. [Weekend holding at a prop firm: swaps and gaps](https://whitepips.com/blog/weekend-holding-and-swaps)

**$1.5M** Allocation ceiling across both lines

**Is there a free trial on futures?**

No. The free trial is CFDs only: one per trader, a free Edge 1 Step $100K CFD account for 14 days under the same rules as the paid Edge 1 Step, started once your identity verification is approved. It never becomes a funded account and never pays out; if you pass it, you receive a personal code for 20% off a paid CFD evaluation, valid for 30 days. The futures plans, One Step and Instant, are paid accounts, and the One Step evaluation has no time limit, no minimum number of trading days and no consistency rule. [The free trial, explained](https://whitepips.com/blog/free-trial-prop-firm)

**CFDs only** Free trial **14 days** Edge 1 Step $100K trial account **20% off** Personal code after a pass, 30 days

**What is the difference between a soft breach and a hard breach?**

A hard breach ends the account at once: trading is switched off and the account's profit is void. On futures accounts these rules can do that: Inactivity, Maximum Loss Limit, Max Loss Type. Daily Loss Limit is a soft limit: trading pauses until the next session and the account stays open. Maximum Position Size, News Trading, Max Exposure, Max Floating Loss per Trade lead to a warning or a review by the risk desk first. You get an email for every breach and warning. Every rule, explained

**Ends it** Inactivity · Maximum Loss Limit · Max Loss Type **Pauses** Daily Loss Limit, until the next session **Warning** Or a risk-desk review first

**What does a reset cost?**

If an evaluation breaches, you can restart it within 14 days for the plan's reset fee, which is printed beside the price and equals it — for example $107 on a $50K One Step. A funded One Step that breaches can be reset within 14 days at five times the evaluation fee ($535 on $50K), at most twice and only before its first payout; it comes back funded. Instant has no reset: a new account at a reduced price is offered for 3 days after the breach.

**$107** $50K One Step evaluation reset, equal to its price **14 days** Window after a breach **$535** Funded $50K One Step, five times the fee **3 days** Instant: a new account at a reduced price

**Do I need to know about contract expiry?**

Only enough to roll. Futures contracts have delivery months and liquidity sits in the front month; you close or roll a position before expiry rather than holding to it. Nothing is ever delivered to you and there is no settlement to fund.

### Targets and trading days

**What is the profit target on a futures evaluation?**

The net profit that passes the One Step evaluation. There is one target, no second phase, no consistency rule and no minimum days, so it can be reached in a single day. Instant has no target: it is funded from day one.

At a glance · a $50K account where the figure depends on size One Step **$3,000** Evaluation · at $50K Instant **—** Does not apply

**One Step** Evaluation $25K $1,200 · $50K $3,000 · $100K $6,000 · $150K $9,000 **Instant** Does not apply on this plan

#### Example at $50K

On a $50K One Step the target is $3,000: the evaluation passes when your balance reaches $53,000 with no positions open.

- **If you break it**: Not a breach. There is no time limit.
- **The email you get**: When you reach it: “Account (number) reached its profit target”, listing anything still missing.

**What counts as a profitable trading day?**

A trading day whose net realised profit is +0.25% of the starting balance or more: $62.50 / $125 / $250 / $375 on the $25K / $50K / $100K / $150K account. It is a payout condition, counted per payout cycle: 3 before each payout on the One Step funded account, 5 on Instant. The evaluation has none.

#### Example at $50K

On a $50K One Step funded account, a day closing at +$125 counts and a day at +$124.99 does not. After a payout the count starts again.

- **If you break it**: The payout waits until the days are there.
- **The email you get**: None; the dashboard objective counts them.

**Is there a minimum number of trading days on a futures evaluation?**

**What is the Consistency Rule on futures?**

No single trading day may make more than a set share of the payout cycle's total net profit: 40% on the One Step funded account, 20% on Instant. The One Step evaluation has none. It is checked when you request a payout and starts again after each payout; not meeting it is not a breach, you simply keep trading until it is met.

#### Example at $50K

On a $50K One Step funded account (40%) with $2,600 of profit this cycle, the best day may make at most $1,040. A best day of $1,300 is 50%: the payout opens once the cycle's profit reaches $3,250. On Instant (20%) the same $2,600 allows a best day of $520.

- **If you break it**: The payout waits; the account stays open.
- **The email you get**: A “Consistency” warning when the best day goes over.

### Loss limits and position size

**What is the Maximum Loss Limit?**

The total loss allowance for the life of the account. It trails upward only: on One Step with your highest end-of-day balance, on Instant with your highest equity during the day, open profit included. Once the floor reaches your starting balance it locks there for good. It is a hard limit.

At a glance · a $50K account where the figure depends on size One Step **$2,000** Evaluation · at $50K **Hard: reaching it ends the account** **$2,000** Funded · at $50K Instant **$2,500** Funded from day one · at $50K **Hard: reaching it ends the account**

#### Example at $50K

On a $50K One Step the limit is $2,000, so the floor starts at $48,000. End Monday at $51,000 and Tuesday's floor is $49,000. The first day that ends at $52,000 or more locks the floor at $50,000; after that a withdrawal takes cushion away, so leave some profit on the account.

- **If you break it**: Reaching it is a hard breach: positions are closed and the account ends.
- **The email you get**: A warning at 80% of the limit (“close to the Max Loss limit”), and “Max Loss breached” if it is reached.

Link to this rule

**What is the difference between EOD trailing and intraday trailing?**

End-of-day (EOD) trailing, on One Step, moves the floor only at the session close, from your closing balance, so a profit you give back during the day does not raise it. Intraday trailing, on Instant, follows your highest equity during the session, open profit included. Both lock at the starting balance.

At a glance One Step **EOD Trailing** Evaluation **EOD Trailing** Funded Instant **Intraday** Funded from day one

#### The figure on each plan

#### Example at $50K

On a $50K Instant ($2,500 limit), a trade that runs to +$1,500 and closes flat raises the floor to $49,000. Equity of $52,500 locks it at $50,000. On a One Step account the same day leaves the floor where it was.

- **If you break it**: It is how the Maximum Loss Limit is measured; reaching the floor ends the account.
- **The email you get**: As for Maximum Loss Limit.

**What is the Daily Loss Limit on futures?**

The most you may lose in one trading day. It is a soft limit: reaching it closes your positions and stops trading for the rest of that day, and the account stays open and trades again the next day. The $25K One Step has none.

**How many contracts can I hold?**

The most contracts open at the same moment. A micro is one tenth of a mini, so the two figures are one limit written twice, and any mix that adds up to the same size is fine. It limits what is open at once, not how many trades you take. Going over it once is a warning; a second time puts the account under review.

### How you may trade

**Can I copy trades between my futures accounts?**

Yes, to copy your own trading: between WhitePips futures accounts that you own and trade yourself, or from a futures master account that is genuinely yours, including one at another firm. Futures accounts copy futures accounts only, never a CFD account. Copying another person's account, a signal service, a shared master, an account manager or a challenge-passing service is not allowed on any plan.

**Can I trade the news on futures?**

During the One Step evaluation, yes: news trading is not restricted. Once funded (the One Step funded account, and Instant from day one) no trade may be opened or closed from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after a high-impact ("red") USD release, on any instrument. A position opened before the window may be held through the release. Profit from a trade opened or closed inside the window is removed and any loss stays. The first time is a warning, the second your final warning; a third, or anything that looks deliberate, goes to our compliance team.

#### The figure on each plan

**One Step** Evaluation Allowed during the evaluation; restricted once funded Every size Funded No: no trade opened or closed ±2 min of high-impact news (a position opened before may be held). Non-farm payrolls at 8:30 AM New York on a funded account: a position opened at 8:10 AM and closed at 8:45 AM is fine. One opened at 8:29 AM is inside the window: if it made $780, the $780 comes off and you get warning 1 of 2.

- **If you break it**: Warning 1, then a final warning, then manual compliance review with any pending payout paused. Never an automatic breach.
- **The email you get**: “News Trading warning 1 of 2”, then “News Trading final warning”, then “News Trading — compliance review”.

**Is scalping allowed on futures?**

Yes. Microscalping (trades held under 30 seconds) is allowed too, but it cannot be your main source of profit: at most 50% of your profit may come from trades held under 30 seconds. Until you are back under it, the evaluation cannot pass and a payout cannot be requested; the account stays open. High-frequency trading built to exploit execution speed is prohibited.

No. Futures positions are not held overnight or over the weekend. Anything still open at 3:55 PM CT (4:55 PM New York) is closed by the system, five minutes before the daily close, and on Friday before the weekend. It is not a breach. The session runs Sunday 5:00 PM CT to Friday 4:00 PM CT, with a break from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM CT each day.

### Dashboard risk cards

**What is the Max Exposure card?**

On futures, exposure is limited by the Maximum Position Size: the contracts you may hold at once. There is no separate notional cap.

#### Where it applies

**One Step** Applies on this plan. **Instant** Applies on this plan.

#### Example at $50K

A $50K account may hold 4 minis or 40 micros at once.

- **If you break it**: Going over the Maximum Position Size is a warning the first time; the second time puts the account under review.
- **The email you get**: “Max Exposure” warning.

**What is the Max Floating Loss per Trade card?**

Futures accounts have no per-trade floating limit. The Daily Loss Limit and the Maximum Loss Limit include open losses.

#### Where it applies

**One Step** Applies on this plan. **Instant** Applies on this plan.

#### Example at $50K

A trade floating −$1,500 on a $50K One Step counts toward the day's loss and the Maximum Loss Limit.

- **If you break it**: Not a futures rule.
- **The email you get**: None.

Link to this rule

**What is the Profit Concentration card on a futures account?**

Futures accounts do not have this rule. The futures limit on lopsided results is the Consistency Rule, measured by day: 40% on the One Step funded account, 20% on Instant.

#### Where it applies

**One Step** Applies on this plan. **Instant** Applies on this plan.

#### Example at $50K

One trade making most of your profit is not a rule on futures; one day making over 40% (One Step funded) or 20% (Instant) of the cycle's profit holds the payout.

- **If you break it**: Not a futures rule.
- **The email you get**: “Profit Concentration” warning.

## Payouts

Split, cadence, how the money arrives and the consistency rule.

**4** answers

**What is the profit split?**

90% on both futures plans: 90% of the payable profit is yours. Profit Split: the figure on each plan

**90%** Both futures plans

**How often can I take a payout?**

On demand, on both plans: request a payout whenever its conditions are met, with every position closed. Every request is confirmed as received. Payout Frequency: the figure on each plan

**On demand** Both plans **Received** Every request

**How do payouts arrive?**

By bank transfer or in crypto (USDT, USDC, BTC or ETH, with the network narrowed per coin). Store credit is available as a destination instead. Every request gets an automatic receipt confirming it has been received.

**Bank** Transfer to an account in your name **Crypto** USDT, USDC, BTC or ETH **Received** Every request confirmed

**What is a consistency rule?**

No single trading day may make more than a set share of the payout cycle's total net profit: 40% on the One Step funded account, 20% on Instant. The One Step evaluation has none. It is checked when you request a payout and starts again after each payout; not meeting it is not a breach, you simply keep trading until it is met. Consistency Rule: the figure on each plan

## Platforms & trading

Volumetrica, contracts, news, scalping and what is not allowed.

**7** answers

**Which platform will I trade on?**

CFDs run on MetaTrader 5, so your charts, indicators and expert advisors carry over on web, desktop, iPhone and Android. Futures run on Volumetrica, which is built around order flow, volume profile and the live tape rather than retail charting, with its market data arriving over a dxFeed connection. The platform comes with the account, and every new futures account includes 30 days of market data; after that it is $35 for 30 days, paid from your dashboard.

**Volumetrica** Futures, dxFeed data **MetaTrader 5** CFDs **30 days** Market data included **$35** 30 more days

**What can I trade?**

Three product lines: CFD evaluations, Instant CFD accounts with no evaluation, and futures. CFDs cover forex, indices, commodities and crypto, with the leverage published per plan: 1:100 on Edge 1 Step, Edge 2 Step and Prime 2 Step, 1:50 on Prime 1 Step, 1:33 on Instant Pro and 1:25 on Instant Go. Futures run alongside them under their own rules, with position caps stated in minis and micros. You can hold accounts on all three at once.

**How many contracts can I trade on a futures account?**

The most contracts open at the same moment. A micro is one tenth of a mini, so the two figures are one limit written twice, and any mix that adds up to the same size is fine. It limits what is open at once, not how many trades you take. Going over it once is a warning; a second time puts the account under review. Maximum Position Size: the figure on each plan

**1 mini** = 10 micro **Warning** First time over the limit **Review** Second time

**How does an end of day trailing Max Loss work?**

End-of-day (EOD) trailing, on One Step, moves the floor only at the session close, from your closing balance, so a profit you give back during the day does not raise it. Intraday trailing, on Instant, follows your highest equity during the session, open profit included. Both lock at the starting balance. Max Loss Type: the figure on each plan

**Session close** One Step: the floor moves at **Highest equity** Instant: intraday, open profit included **Starting balance** Both lock at

**Can I trade the news?**

News Trading: the figure on each plan

**±2 min** High-impact USD release, once funded **Open** The One Step evaluation is not restricted **3rd time** Goes to the compliance team

**Is scalping allowed?**

Microscalping: the figure on each plan

**30 s** A trade held under this is a microscalp **50%** Most of your profit they may carry

**What trading is not allowed?**

On every futures plan, at every stage. Ten go to manual review by the risk desk first, which can lead to a warning, profit removal, a refused payout, suspension, a failed evaluation, a closed funded account or a permanent ban: hedging across accounts and platforms, coordinated or group trading, copying another trader’s positions, order queue manipulation, volume inflation, artificial trades to meet a day requirement, strategies that need fills a live market cannot give, gambling behaviour and account rolling, news straddling around Tier 1 releases, and gap or illiquid market trading. Six end the account at once, with no warning, once the desk confirms them, and the profit and any pending payout are forfeited: latency arbitrage and feed errors, spread and exchange arbitrage, market manipulation such as spoofing, high-frequency or algorithmic exploitation, and account sharing or device sharing, which closes every account of both traders. Frequent IP changes, a VPN or a proxy start an enhanced identity check, and trading can be restricted until it is done. Allowed: hedging inside one account (a long and a short on the same contract in mini and micro, or on two different contracts) and martingale within your position and loss limits. The full table is in the [Trading Rules, section 20.7](https://whitepips.com/legal/trading-rules#futures-prohibited) .

**10** Go to manual review first **6** End the account once the desk confirms them

What you pay

## Fees & pricing

The one-time fee, what is charged on top and the data feed.

**3** answers

**Is the futures data feed included?**

The Volumetrica platform is included. Every new futures account includes 30 days of dxFeed market data; after that it is $35 for 30 days, paid from your dashboard, and nothing renews by itself. If you declare yourself a Professional Subscriber to dxFeed, the professional fee of $540 per calendar month set by the exchange is paid by you.

**30 days** dxFeed data with every new account **$35** 30 more days, from your dashboard **$540** Professional Subscriber fee a month, set by the exchange

**What does it cost to get funded?**

Accounts start at $32, and the price is set by the plan and the account size: from $32 on the smallest Edge 2 Step to $3,278 for a $100K CFD Instant Pro account, which has no evaluation. On the futures line prices start at $81. It is a one time fee, not a subscription. Futures accounts include 30 days of market data; after that it is $35 for 30 days. Every price is printed on the plan before you buy.

**$32** Smallest Edge 2 Step **$3,278** $100K Instant Pro **$81** Futures, from **$35** 30 more days of market data

**Is the account fee the final amount I pay?**

The fee on the plan is the account fee. Add ons you choose, and the payment provider's transaction fee, are charged on top of it. You will see the total before you confirm, and the bundle discount is applied to the basket rather than to one account.
